What should I wear in Egypt?
Lightweight and breathable clothing is helpful in our hot desert weather, and we recommend modest clothing (particularly when visiting religious sites). This includes long pants, skirts and sleeves as this demonstrates respect in local culture. Slathering on the sunscreen is also advised!
Is Egypt safe?
Egypt is generally safe for tourists, especially in popular areas. We do highly recommend staying up to date on travel advisories and paying attention to local guidance.
What time is best to see Egypt?
Between October and April, the weather will be cooler, making it a more comfortable time of year to explore our historical sites, landscapes and deserts.
What currency is used in Egypt?
Our currency is the Egyptian Pound. Although credit cards are widely accepted, we recommend carrying small amounts of cash for little purchases and tips, as tipping is common here.
